The Corfe Castle Model Village
Although the local village is very nice, we are not referring to them. Rather, this is your opportunity to see what the castle and village would have looked like before its destruction by Cromwell’s troops in 1646. This is set in an acre of landscape gardens, and it is the ideal place for a lazy few hours for both young and old alike.
Based at Sandbanks this golf course offers 18 very challenging holes to entertain and frustrate you. Despite the challenge presented, every hole has been holed-in-one at one time or another. This is suitable for anyone between the ages of 3 and 105, provided you have enough patience.
Putlake Adventure Farm
What do you get if you cross 30 acres of fun with lots of farm animals and feeding opportunities? Well, if you throw in a 3 level indoor soft play centre, bouncy castles, trampolines, outdoor play area with sandpits, pedal go karts, pedal tractors and full size tractor trailer rides, you will end up with something that looks like Putlake Adventure Farm.
Here is where you can experience a unique 6 mile journey through beautiful scenery, passing the magnificent ruins of Corfe Castle, to the beach at Swanage. You can visit 4 stations, discover museums, and get involved in a variety of local and railway events.
This is a peaceful island of woodland, wetland and heath and it offers a rich variety of wildlife for you to visit. The visitor centre is full of history mystery and there are a number of great trails to follow. Interesting fact for you; you can still find red squirrels on Brownsea Island.
You can watch the master potter at work, browse the artistic creations and then try your own hand at the pot! This is a pleasing stop for the creative types.
