The Tank Museum
The Tank Museum is a great place to take kids of all ages. With its unique collection of over 300 tanks, the museum takes you from the First World War right through to the present day; teaching you not only about the amazing vehicles, but also about the men who fought with them.
And there is no better time to explore than October half term as the tank museum holds a special half term event! Throughout half term there will be activities and talks themed around Britain’s war time secrets! You will learn the importance of morse code, discover how camouflage was influenced by nature, and learn how modern tank crews navigate enemy terrain. There will also be the opportunity to jump inside a tank and try on replica uniforms! And if that’s not exciting enough there will also be live demonstrations every weekday at 1pm.
The tank museum is open from 10am until 5pm daily, with tickets priced at £13 for an adult and £7.50 for a child.
