Walking from Swanage to Corfe Castle

The walk from Swanage to Corfe should take around 1 hour and 45 minutes depending on your pace and whether you decide to stop for a picnic en route.
you will be taking in some truly amazing scenery along the 12.2 mile journey; from the chiselled cliffs of old harry rocks, to the rustic field of Corfe common.

Starting from the Castleton hotel and following signs up to Durlston Country Park where you will join the coastal path (look out for dolphins they are often spotted in this area!). Which will take you past dancing ledge. When you reach St Aldelm’s head, be sure you have a look inside of the Norman chaplet! Follow the signs to the b3069, once you have crossed the road it’s a straight walk down through Corfe common into the village its self.

Once in Corfe there are plenty of shops and cafes for cream tea –which we would highly recommend before catching the steam train back to Swanage!
