Studland Beach – National Trust
This is truly an amazing example of how spectacular the British natural coastline can be. Here in The Isle of Purbeck we are blessed with a five-mile stretch of golden sandy beaches that offer gently shelving bathing waters (perfect for children, and watersports). This area also offers unique views of Old Harry Rocks and the Isle of Wight.
The heathland behind this incredible beach is a haven for native (protected) wildlife and is home to all six British reptiles, attracting visitors from all over the world.
There are carefully designed trails through these sand dunes and woodlands, which offer the opportunity for exploration. Deer can be spotted here all year round along with insects and bird life that can only be seen here in the UK at different times of the year
Studland was ofcourse the undisputed inspiration for Toytown in Enid Blyton’s Noddy!
